Solo Performer
Elaine Samuels is a singer / songwriter who plays guitar mainly (plus some banjo and cittern). As a solo performer, she plays original gigs as well as popular covers gigs, or a mixture of the two, in venues like:- • Clubs • Care homes & day centres • As a speaker with U3A & similar groups • Arts Centres • Theatres
Elaine's track record
Elaine receives great acclaim for her voice, songs and lively stage presence. She was featured by HTV on an ecology series, where she was interviewed and sang one of her own songs, on the mystical heights of Glastonbury Tor! She was also filmed for Wire TV, in Kingston’s Bentalls Centre (pictured oppostie). She came second in a televised, live performance song contest too, at Leicester’s Y Theatre, where she was the only solo performer! Elaine was a cast member of "London's Finest" female singer / songwriter group "Girls With Guitars UK" and performed regular London showcases with the other cast members, when the group was active in the early 2000s. She created her Kindred Spirit Duo and Kindred Spirit Band line-ups from the mid 1990s.
Elaine also organises and leads events related to music and song-writing. She teaches song-writing, performance skills and guitar.
